Before heading to DC for a series of meetings, my wife and I wanted to explore the Delmarva peninsula. The first few days of our stay, we made trips to Assateague Island, enjoying the beach on the Atlantic side, and a great boat tour on the Chincoteague Island at the suggestion of our Hostess, Elizabeth. Since we are from Colorado, we especially counted on her knowledge of the local lore and high points for a short visit. Elizabeth was spot-on for dining suggestions as well. Then as we found time to visit, enjoyed her knowledge of literature as the rooms in the home suggest - Jane Austen, Langston Hughes, Robert Louis Stevenson., etc. One of the books must have covered breakfast recipes - all were great. If you are given the option, ask for the French Toast with the Apricot Compote - really a treat to start your day. Elizabeth not only shared her home, but her time in conversations with guests. Even at the first visit, she made us feel as welcome as a family member. We are sure to return for a visit just to enjoy the ambiance!

We live in Easton, MD. My wife was taking me to Smith Island, MD for my birthday. We had to be at the Crisfield, MD dock at Noon to board the boat to Smith Island. Wanting to have a leisurely morning before getting on the boat, we looked for a B & B nearby so we didn't have to hurry to Crisfield from Easton. So, we found the Anderson's Booklover's B & B in Princess Anne, MD, just a short distance from Crisfield.

Terrific stay. The staff was very accommodating and having our breakfast prepared for us with our wants addressed made the the stay all the better!

We were greeted by the owner and innkeeper, Elizabeth Anderson. She proudly showed us around the B & B and got us settled in our room, the Jane Austen. Then, she suggested a place for dinner, the local hotel, just off the square in Princess Anne. But, before walking to dinner, we enjoyed cocktails on the side porch of the B & B, a delightful, private setting. And, we explored the bookshelves which we found everywhere...with something for everyone.

Gorgeous rooms. Very comfortable. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Very clean. A lovely bed and breakfast.

I live in Princess Anne and pass this B&B all the time but looking inside through the pictures, since they have lovely trees for privacy, I even want to stay there.

After dinner, we walked lazily back to the B & B, got out our books out of our suitcases and climbed into bed for a good night's sleep.

The next morning Elizabeth cooked us a wonderful breakfast and joined us for a chat as we ate. We discovered that we had some things in common with her and we thoroughly enjoyed her company.

We would recommend this place to anyone who wants a comfortable bed in comfortable surroundings, a good breakfast and books galore...all overseen by a bright and entertaining host who has set high standards of hospitality and works hard at maintaining them.
