I had the Maryland crab bisque and half of a pulled pork sandwich. The sandwich had a great smoky taste. And the bisque was excellent too.

Very nice. Room was small but clean and comfy. The tavern menu offered nice choices for dinner and the Sunday brunch was very good. Staff was friendly. The only drawback was lugging our luggage up to the room. There is no elevator.

Charming historic Inn, immaculate condition, superb food, memory foam mattress on a king bed... this place was a jewel to discover! I will certainly be back!

Really great place to stay. Great atmosphere, great room, great staff and the food is fantastic. The best complimentary breakfast I've ever had. The drinks are great too. If I had one gripe it would be the location of my room which was on the first floor right outside the tavern seating area. There were times I could clearly make out conversations. Fortunately I was gone most of the time but I do wonder what it would be like if the place was really packed. On the plus side having the bar so close wasn't too bad. If you're going to stay I would have to recommend a room away from the bar area. All in all it's only a minor gripe as I have only really been awoken once during my stay. I can still highly recommend this place.

A cozy historical tavern and restaurant. good food, well prepared and professionally served at reasonable prices. Friendly and welcoming with a small town feel. I even had Thanksgiving dinner there! Wood burning fireplace and sometimes live music in the tavern. A real gem in Somerset County.
